Constantly drowning in mom guilt when trying to WFHM, go to the gym or just quickly wash my face before running to get them in bed. Laying in bed wondering what’s missing in my marriage, feeling like i failed as a mom for any little thing and feeling like im locked in a financially dependent jail cell that i cant escape. Feeling guilty that my husband is exhausted from having to work two jobs while I am trying to figure it out. I finally realized that if i continue this pity party i will never find happiness. I need to step into my role as a mom wife and BOSS to feel confident and happy with my new life. I need to put systems in place and stick to them even though its hard, why did i think it was supposed to be so easy? Join me as i give it to you how it is so we can accept and start to make the changes we desperately need but are too prideful to admit. Im here to share with you my lessons that are making me a better person one day at a time. If you are ready to start with admitting that we have been doing it wrong, learn how to do it right and implement some systems we don’t think we need but know will help… sit with me as we discuss where we went wrong and what we can do to make our role as a mom, wife and entrepreneur easier. Let’s thrive as a family and in our business mamas. So before we reach overwhelm, lets stop take a deep breathe, and look at how can we do this smarter, not harder! It starts here…Let’s develop that growth mindset, and start TAKING ACTION!
A Better Way To Me
CREATING A JOURNALING PRACTICE FOR A POSITIVE AND PRODUCTIVE DAY
I am sure most moms will take any advice when it comes to helping us have a more productive day but I guarantee if you build this practice into your routine you can have a more purposeful and productive day.
What journaling can look like:
- A digital working document (i.e. in your GDrive)
- Keeping a written journal ( i used to do this but my hand would start to hurt and that would make me not want to journal)
- Bullet notes for your day (gratitude, to-do-lists, keep it in a place where it can stay compiled)
What journaling does:
- Organizes thoughts- gain clarity (think where do I start, why am I feeling what I'm feeling)
- Relieves stress and anxiety
- Gives us direction. Makes us more purposeful. Increases our self-esteem/confidence
What my practice looks like
1. What I’ve learned
2. My intention for the day
3. 3 things I'm grateful for
4. Top 3 things I need to get done today
5. Then I write to myself or my kids
Remember
Journal writing gives us insights into who we are, who we were, and who we can become.” – Sandra Marinella
